When you begin a website redesign, always keep the search engines in mind. 62% of search users click a link on the first page of the search results. If they don’t immediately see what they need on that page, 41% of these users won’t bother going to page two. They will simply refine their keywords or switch search engines. 77% of search users still chose organic results over paid ads, so make sure that your website redesign can help propel you to the top of the rankings and appeals to your new customers.

  1. The apparition of Html 5 has probably something to do with the redesign. The features are just so cool. It is hard not to want to switch to Html 5 for anyone who is design-conscious/sensitive. The user experience and the feeling make websites more attractive: they will be considered art, sooner or later. Unfortunately, here in China the speed of internet is not only slow, most people are still using pretty old versions of Explorer. Also, a lot of Chinese companies prefer to go for the cheapest web developers in town (and it is pretty obvious). Nonetheless, more and more companies are realizing that a website is actually a window on their business and that it can pay off to invest in an efficient, nice looking website. Branding it is…

  2. I’ve had the domain for years but only had the site up for a week.  What can I expect to pay an SEO vendor and can an outside vendor do the job that much better than I can? (Once I figure it out)

  3. Awesome infographic. So many of our customers wonder whether to redesign or just do a few tweaks. But I think this infographic makes it pretty clear. I think it’s doubly true for ecommerce, which is our area!

  4. Thank you for making the image available for embedding!
