There is so much that can be done with both your profile and the pages you create on Squidoo that for a new person it can seem overwhelming. Through hands-on experience from building multiple lenses I have learned what works and what doesn't. A new person might spend many hours trying different things to create their perfect Squidoo lens. I spent many hours on my first few lenses. Now I can create a great lens in 1 to 2 hours. You are right that Squidoo might not seem very user friendly.
