Great Article!

Its ironic, too... My mother was just doing a destructive restore to her system today, because of getting infected with a virus due to this very thing.

You know, that is something to remember. I was doing a search for an open source software that I was unfamiliar with, and when I was downloading it, I wasn't 100% if it was the right site, but I remember telling myself it had to be right cause it was on the first page of the search results. NOW I'll be sure to do some extra research when I am not familiar with the topic I am searching for.

Nice Post.

Great post Darren...I have often wondered about this topic.

I know that to us SEOs..we think we are doing good for companies that want to be noticed, but like you said in the post, some SEOs use their tactics for the wrong reasons. This can be harmful to online searchers who are unaware of these types of cybercriminals.

Good job!
