The Account Executive is responsible for the day-to-day management, satisfaction and retention of individual client campaigns. Account Executives liaise closely with clients throughout campaigns, often on a daily basis. The Account Executive manages administrative and campaign work, ensuring that all is completed on time and within allocated budget.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple client accounts
- Meet with clients to discuss and identify their online marketing needs and requirements
- Work with colleagues to devise a holistic strategy that meets the clients’ needs and budgets
- Coordinate with clients and internal service managers to manage client accounts as a whole
- Oversee assignment and fulfillment of campaign tasks
- Create, manage, and deliver campaign status updates to clients twice monthly
- Provide weekly campaign reports to Director of SEO
- Ensure that all account projects and tasks are effective, completed on time, on budget, and to the client’s satisfaction
- Ensure that all accounts are current in their payments
- Communicate with each client frequently to assess and increase client satisfaction and retention, strengthen relationships, discuss campaign progress, strategy, and past, current, and future work
- Identify upsell opportunities and work with colleagues to create upsell proposals
- Propose upsells to clients
- Harvest referrals from clients
- Manage client expectations and work to resolve client concerns
- Arrange and head both internal and external client meetings
- Perform extensive research on each clients’ niches and industries to acquire the knowledge necessary to professionally manage these relationships
- Remain educated on SEO industry trends and occurrences in order to speak professionally on the subject with each client
- Contribute to SEO.com blog monthly
Education, Skills, & Years of Experience:
- At least one year of client relationship management experience
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Analytical thinker
- Ability to manage people on site and off site
- Self-motivated and able to multi-task on several projects
- Works well under pressure and deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Internet marketing experience is a plus
