“If you can’t get a new idea from this list, you’re comatose,” said Jeff McCauley, a Utah high school teacher who helped organize the conference in Utah.
Among the speakers who will take the stage next month in Atlanta are author Seth Godin, University of Texas head football coach Mack Brown and journalist Suzy Welch. Their
speeches on May 6 will be broadcasted to hundreds of venues across the country.
McCauley is bringing the event to Weber State University’s Davis County campus. When buying your tickets you’ll receive $25 off the cost of admission if you mention SEO.com.
“We already likely have the least expensive tickets in the country for this,” McCauley said. “It’s a very fair price for sure.”
Other heavy hitters scheduled to speak include:
- Muhtar Kent, chairman of the board and CEO for the Coca-Cola Company
- Leadership expert John Maxwell
- Erin Gruwell, founder of the Freedom Writers Foundation
- Chick-fil-A President and COO Dan Cathy
- Radio personality Dave Ramsey
- Authors Frans Johansson
- Author Sir Ken Robinson
“It’s a relatively diverse group of people, and some I’ve never heard before,” McCauley said. “I’m excited to hear what they have to say.”
Utah Leadercast is modeled after the well-known TED conference. Each speaker will address the audience for about 20 minutes.
“They’re talking about giving you the tools to be more of a leader in any area,” McCauley said. “You could be from about any walk of life and obviously walk away with something of value here.”
